Charles “Chuck” D. Pedersen, 84 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Homestead House in Beatrice. He was born on September 9, 1935 in Filley to Roy and Sylvia Pedersen. Chuck graduated from Filley High School in 1953. He was a lifelong farmer and served in the Nebraska Army National Guard. Chuck married Norma Towle on April 16, 1983 in Lincoln. He was active in the Filley community serving on the Filley Volunteer Fire Department and the Filley Cemetery Board. Chuck was a member of Beatrice Eagles Aerie #531 and enjoyed farming the land, traveling and Husker football. 

Chuck is survived by step-sons, Jeff Towle and wife Patty of Fort Pierce, Florida and Randy Towle of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Norma.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Private interment will be in the Filley Cemetery near Filley. Military rites will be provided at the mortuary. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the cemetery in care of the mortuary.
