A Person Tried to Move From Illinois to Kentucky . . . By Floating There on a Log Down the Mississippi River
I'm not sure that in 2019, the best way to get places is Huckleberry Finn-style . . . but to each their own, I guess.
Someone called 911 in Rock Island, Illinois on Monday afternoon to report a guy was floating down the Mississippi River on a big LOG.
The fire department had to send out their rescue boat to save him.
And when they pulled him into the boat, he told them what was up: He was MOVING from Illinois to Kentucky, and he thought he'd travel there via log.
The fire department dropped him off on the shore and they say he was, quote, "strongly encouraged to make other transportation arrangements."
