Former director charged in Norfolk Senior Center scandal

A Norfolk woman has been charged with theft after being terminated from the Senior Center in November.

NORFOLK, Neb.— A Norfolk woman has been charged with theft after being terminated from the Senior Center in November.


An arrest warrant was served Tuesday on former Executive Director Cheryl Roeber.


The Madison County Attorney charged Roeber with felony theft of over $5,000.


This charge holds the sentence of up to 20 years.


Roeber is accused of misusing the Centers credit card which got reported to police in November.
