Vetrovsky's historic night leads Beatrice past Ralston; Lady O fall in TBC Semifinal

BEATRICE, Neb. - Beatrice Basketball had split outcomes Thursday night at the O-Zone. 

The Orangemen survived a scare from Ralston, while the Lady Orange fell to Wahoo. 

The Orangemen overcame a strong shooting night from the 1-12 Rams to win a 68-62 double-overtime thriller. In the process, with 45 points and 26 rebounds, Harrison Vetrovsky set new single-game school records. 

With the win, Beatrice improves to 9-7 on the year. 

Meanwhile, the Lady Orange fell short against Wahoo 36-33. Lady Orange leading scorer Kylie Hatcliff found herself in early foul trouble, leaving Beatrice short-handed for a majority of the first half. 

With the loss, Beatrice falls to 12-5 on the year and will play Platteview in the TBC Tournament's third place game at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Ashland-Greenwood.
