Janice Jean Meyer, age 79 of Wymore passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 18, 2024. She was born to Glen and Dorothy (Wible) Jerman on August 19, 1944 in Beatrice. She graduated from Beatrice High School and went on to get her nursing degree. She married Merlin Meyer on April 2, 1967 and had 2 daughters, Janelle and Jill.

Janice's careers were many...she served as a surgical technician at the Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice and a dental hygienist in Wymore. She worked diligently beside Merlin as they farmed 80 acres, raised Angus and built a farrow to finish operation as Janice loved her pigs. She then worked for Don's Flower Shop in Wymore and then bought it from them and built Wymore Floral into a successful business. She finished her career at Casey's, where she loved to see all of her customers who became dear friends to her.

She loved to crochet and floral designing. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and loved being around people in general and never failed to speak her mind - many times to Merlin's avail. Janice is survived by her husband, Merlin; daughters, Janelle (Steve) Hurley and Jill (Jamie) Kuzelka; grandchildren, Jerrad (Dakota) Hurley, Derrick Hurley, Trevor Hurley, Shad (Brittany) Siebrandt, Taylor Siebrandt, Natasha Siebrandt, Chance (Emma) Siebrandt, and Billie Joe Ford; great grandchildren, Abbii Hurley, Parker, Noah, Aspen, Josephine, and Stetson Hurley, Paisley, Quinn, and Reid Siebrandt, Emma Peters, Journee and Bentley Vanderknur-Peters, Ethan Preusker, Marilyn and Lily Morter, Payten Hurley and Jada Hurley; brothers, Gary (Ruby) Jerman; brother-in-law, Dale Grummert; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends that she called family. She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Arthur and Selma Meyer; brothers-in-law, Marvin Meyer and Melvin (Darlene) Meyer; and sister-in-law, Marlys Grummert.
