Teddy Lindblad, age 73, of Cambridge, MN died January 8, 2025 at home.

Teddy “Ted” Ray Lindblad was born on July 16, 1951 in Beatrice, NE to Raymond and Wilma (Welch) Lindblad. Teddy grew up near Barneston on the family farm and graduated from Barneston High School in 1969. After graduation he attended Milford Trade School (now Southeast Community College) and enlisted in the Army National Guard (Army Air Guard) of NE. Ted continued his education in life earning his PhD from The School of Skinned Knuckles and Hard Knocks.

On March 3, 1979 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Pearl Kussman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beatrice, NE. In 1994 the family moved to Hugoton, KS until moving to Cambridge, MN in 1997. Teddy owned and operated Lindblad Welding in Beatrice, for many years. In 1986 he joined Northern Natural Gas as a Pipeline Welder until his retirement in 2014.

Teddy enjoyed welding, racing, anything automotive, drawing/sketching, watching football (especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers), playing cards, telling jokes, the family pets and wildlife, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Kussman) Lindblad; parents, Raymond and Wilma (Welch) Lindblad; father-in-law, Robert Kussman and mother-in-law, Kathryn Kussman.

Teddy is survived by his children, Theresa (Eric) Hartman of Lawrence, KS, Tamme (Jonathan) Seelen of Rice, MN and Trevor (Ashley) Lindblad of Tomah, WI; grandchildren, Dylan Peters (fiancé Kenna McClain), Kiley Lideen and Austin Lindblad; brother, Les (Jan) Lindblad of Denton, NE; sister, Linda (Roger) Jurgens of Beatrice, NE; brother-in-law, Jerry (Kathy) Kussman of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Karen Kussman of Tomah, WI; many other relatives and friends.

Teddy’s family will greet their family and friends at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice from 9:30-10:30 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025, followed by his Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 AM. The church will Livestream the service. Following lunch at the church, inurnment will be held at the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NE with military honors provided by the US. Army and the Liberty American Legion. In lieu of flowers or memorials, we kindly ask that you consider supporting a local animal shelter in Teddy’s honor.
