Joel J. Dilla, 60, of Beatrice, died Monday evening, May 20, 2024 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln. He was born on July 10, 1963, in Omaha. Joel had resided at Mosaic since 1983. He will be missed by those who served as his care­takers over the years and special friend/nurse, Kodie.

Survivors include his sister, Kathleen Valentine of Fulton, MO; brother, Tony Dilla of West Des, Moines, IA; two step-brothers, Ivy Dow of Omaha and Duane (Jennifer) Dow of Iowa; step-sister, Jeanne (Kevin) Adkins of Arkansas; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donn Dilla and wife Sandra; mother, Mary (Torpy) Dilla; sister, Sami Dilla.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Chapel on the Beatrice Mosaic Campus with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
