HASTINGS, Neb. – 108 non-profits in Adams County are set to benefit from the 11th annual Give Hastings Day on Thursday.

Early giving opened on April 15, and The Lark Downtown is hosting an in-person give day for the public to make a donation to the non-profit of their choice.

The Hastings Community Foundation (HCF) organizes Give Hastings Day, and says the 108 non-profits this year are tied for the most number of participating organizations.

In its 10 years, HCF has raised $5,467,026 for Adams County non-profits, which includes the towns of Hastings, Juniata, Kenesaw, and Roseland.

Last year, Hastings residents raised $953,007 which was the most given in a single year.

HCF Executive Director Dan Peters says Give Hastings Day is a win-win for everyone involved.

"The power of give day is one: sure, the donations are great, but the awareness of that creates really has benefits all year long," said Peters. "Give Day provides a platform for especially those organizations to build awareness, to let the community know the great work they're doing, the service they're providing, and the need they're filling in the community."

The Lark opens at 7 a.m. and will host events and accept in-person donations until 11 p.m., which can be found in the flyer at the bottom of this article.
