BEATRICE – The driver of a pickup had minor injuries from an accident just north of Filley, last Wednesday.

Gage County Sheriff’s deputies say a pickup driven by John Parde was southbound on South 134th Road, entering a curve near the junction with East Sargent Road.

The truck crossed the center line, and authorities say the driver overcorrected and lost control.

The pickup left the roadway, struck a sign and traveled down an embankment into a field.   Deputies said Parde was partially ejected from the vehicle.  Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, but Parde was not transported for medical treatment.

The accident time was around 5:30 p.m.
