BEATRICE – Beatrice Public Schools will be losing another veteran administrator in the district.    Jason Sutter will be resigning his position as Principal at Beatrice High School, at the end of this year.

Sutter has long coordinated commencement exercises each year at Beatrice High School and has seen a lot of student success…..in both academics and activities.   Sutter himself is a graduate of Beatrice High School and was a star lineman for the Orangeman football team….going on to become a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks, in college.

Sutter’s resignation and that of Middle School Language Arts Instructor Dave Bell were accepted by the Beatrice Board of Education, Monday night.

Meanwhile, the board has approved the hiring of a principal for the new Beatrice Prekindergarten through fifth grade building.  He is James Ford, who has served as an interim superintendent at Cozad Public Schools and has been certified in special education as a director for that district.

Superintendent Jason Alexander says plans are to have Ford and Missy Timmerman serve as co-principals at the new elementary school.  Timmerman has directed the Beatrice Community Preschool.
