Moira Constance Roberts, 88, of Lincoln, formerly of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away with her loving family by her side on March 5, 2024. Born on August 23, 1935, in London, England to Arnold “Curly” and Margaret “Lou” (Jones) Evans and grew up in England during WW2. She worked in a Milliner (hat) shop in London as well as modeling for a fashion shop in London. Moira married the love of her life, Frank Roberts, on March 31, 1956.  Moira was a humble woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a creative soul, with a passion for tole painting, knitting, sewing, and baking, hobbies that she nurtured throughout her life. Her thoughtful nature was reflected in her commitment to her family, her community, and her faith.

Moira and her family immigrated to Beatrice in 1959.  In Beatrice, Moira worked as a seamstress at Formfit Rogers, and then in DeWitt at Petersen Manufacturing and at American Tool until her retirement in 1999. Being an active member of the First Baptist Church in Beatrice, she was often found helping with social committee duties, and attended the Order of  Eastern Star and Masonic events. She loved sailing and dancing with Frank. Spending time in England and the Ozarks with family, was precious to her.

She is survived by her 3 daughters Moira (Mark) Zlomke of Sidney, IA, Corinne Roberts and Rachel (Matthew) Spring, all of Lincoln; 4 grandchildren Gareth (Angie) Penner, Jocelyn (Mike) Sheldon, Evan Spring and Sydney Spring; 3 great grandchildren Trent, Shaylee and Tate; and several nieces and nephews. Moira was preceded in death by her parents Arnold Hector and Margaret (Jones) Evans; her husband Frank Roberts (2020); and sisters Joyce and Barbara.
