LINCOLN, Neb. — The Omaha Skutt girls basketball team grabbed an early lead and coasted to a 45-28 Class B semifinals win over Gretna East.

The Skyhawks’ defense limited the Griffins to a season low in points. Gretna East managed just four points in the first quarter and had only eight points at halftime.

The victory puts the Skyhawks in the state championship game for the third year in a row. Omaha Skutt has never won a state title.
