FAIRBURY, Neb -- The Fairbury Public Library is back open to the public after being closed July 15th due to someone potentially using the public computers in the library to access sexually explicit materials, including images of minor children.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff, Nicholas Georgi, officials know who was all at the library using the computers when the possible crime occurred.  However, no one is currently in custody, as the sheriff's department is awaiting the Nebraska State Patrol Tech Crimes unit to determine if any illegal content was actually accessed on the computers.  Georgi also confirmed that the computers and server data have been taken from library and are currently at the tech crime lab.

Officials hope to have the information back in a couple of weeks, but Sheriff Georgi said "going through all the data takes them some time."
