LINCOLN, Neb. -- A wreck involving a semi turned a load of avocados into guacamole on Interstate 80 Monday evening. 

The spill happened just east of the 70th St. bridge on the north side of Lincoln. 

The Nebraska State Patrol said a tractor trailer hauling avocados lost control and ended up in a ditch, spilling the fruits all over the highway. 

The interstate was down to one lane while workers cleaned up the spill. 

Authorities were able to clear the scene just after midnight, and reported that no one was hurt.
