NORFOLK, Neb. -- Eleven-year-old Max Blunck was given special recognition by the Norfolk City Council Monday.

Blunck was awarded with the "People Power" award, for creating an egg hunt during the holiday.

“Some people didn’t have Easter egg hunts," Blunck said. "So I just did it for them.”

Blunck was presented two certificates at the beginning of the Norfolk City Council meeting, where he was honored by the city.

According to the city, "People Power" awards are given to citizens who commit acts of thoughtfulness, generosity and compassion, demonstrating the power of helping others.
