Windshield with bullet damage after gunshots heard in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities in Lincoln are investigating a bullet damaged vehicle from Wednesday night. 

The Lincoln Police Department said around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, they were called to the 1200 block of Arapahoe Street for a report of several gunshots heard in the area. 

When officers arrive, LPD said they found a Chrysler 300 with damage to the windshield that was consistent with gunfire. The windshield had an estimated $1,000 worth of damage. 

At the location, LPD said they found six spent .45 caliber casings. 

LPD said two teens were arrested for gun-related charges in Lincoln. 

Authorities said that around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday they spoke to two people at a residence near 11th and B St. as part of the investigation for this incident. 

A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, Monterell Debose were taken into custody without incident, according to officials. 

LPD reported that Debose was arrested for unlawful discharge of a firearm, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited juvenile offender. 

Officials said that the 17-year-old was arrested for aid and abet the discharged of a firearm near a vehicle or building and is currently being held at the Lancaster County Youth Services Center. 

LPD said that officers found a .45 caliber handgun believed to be involved. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
