Mary L. (Nelson) Bauer, 63, of Clatonia, died Monday, August 29, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on November 19, 1958 in Holdrege and grew up in Lincoln.  Mary graduated from Lincoln High in 1977.  She owned an antique shop in Seward for several years and later owned and operated the Coyote Den in Clatonia.  Mary was always willing to help others and accommodate their needs.  She enjoyed traveling all across the United States, riding motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons, going to Sturgis, and was an avid animal lover, giving special attention to her dogs.


Survivors include her daughter, Kenya (Shawn) Lannom; granddaughter, Christine Case; grandsons, Zachary Case, Tristan Lannom, and Anthony Nelson; sister, Stephanie (David) Fritz; brothers, John Nelson and Wes Nelson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Dolores (Schmalken) Nelson; grandparents, Willard and Esther Nelson, and John and Agnes Schmalken.


A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at RJ’s Bar & Grill, 402 W Fillmore Ave, DeWitt, Nebraska.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice for future designation.   Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
