BEATRICE – Nebraska Republican candidate for Governor Jim Pillen, met with a group of about 25 Monday morning in Beatrice, an informal breakfast gathering at the Country Cookin’ Café.

The Columbus livestock producer and veterinarian is seeking the G-O-P nomination from among a crowded field of nine, this primary election.
"We've been in all 93 counties and most of them, multiple times. So, we've got a phenomenal grassroots team and we've humbled ourselves to ask people to help us. We have an extraordinary number of contributors and investors and we have signs up all over the state...so, we've met incredible Nebraska people. If grassroots matters, we have an incredible campaign and if asking people to help matters, we like where we're at today."

Pillen was accompanied by officials of the Nebraska Farm Bureau, whose membership has endorsed Pillen for Governor. The Republican arty’s national standard bearer, former President Trump, has endorsed one of Pillen’s opponents.

"Nebraskans can think for themselves, and Nebraskans care about what Nebraskans think. We're really, really proud to be endorsed by Governor Ricketts, we're proud to be endorsed by the Nebraska Farm Bureau organization, which is grassroots Nebraska....incredibly proud to be endorsed by Governor Orr and Coach Osborne...so we're really proud of the Nebraskans on team Pillen."

Pillen also planned campaign stops in Plattsmouth and Nebraska City on Monday. It’s less than two months before Nebraska’s Primary Election.
