Marjorie M. Terrill

Marjorie Mae Terrill, 93 passed away at her home on June 10, 2020. Born on January 6, 1927 she was the 10th of 12 children born to Henry and Anna Lottman Elgert. She grew up on a farm near Reynolds, NE and attended school at District 94 and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1944.
On September 7th, 1947 she married Dean Terrill in a double wedding ceremony with Dean's cousin LeRoy and Bobby Welch and they were married for 61years. ln November 1947 Marge was baptized at the First Baptist Church. For over 73 years she served on various committees and in various capacities including deaconess, trustee, Sunday school teacher, social and circle leaders. Her Christian Faith and dedication to the Lord were a testament and example to many.
ln 1955 they adopted their son Terry Dean followed by the adoption of their daughter Nancy Lee 7 years later. Dean and Marge enjoyed traveling in their motor home going to many National Parks and attractions. Marge loved to entertain and enjoyed her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and decorator and loved to host family get togethers and reunions. Family loved to stay at Aunt Margie's when they came back to visit and always called her place "Home". She always had an ear to lend and positive and
kind words to share.
Marge's 3 grandsons were her greatest enjoyment and source of pride and she was their biggest fan.
She is survived by daughter Nancy Amundson and husband Chris of Fairbury. Grandsons Caleb Amundson of Greenwood NE , Chance Amundson of Fairbury and Brian Terrill of Lincoln and several nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by husband Dean, son Terry, six brothers, five sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, June 15, 2020 at 11:00 at the First Baptist Church in Fairbury. Her book will be available to sign at the Funeral Home from 1:00 - 7:00 on Sunday, June 14th. Memorials will go to the Family's Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
