HASTINGS, Neb. — A former wrestler at Hastings College is being accused of recording his roommate while she was in the shower.

Matheson Rodriguez, 21 was arrested last week, according to court records, on Jan. 13. his 23-year-old roommate told police that she saw a shadow while taking a shower and noticed someone leaving the bathroom. 

The woman told her husband who confronted Rodriguez, he lived with the couple at the time.  

The incident was reported to Hastings College’s wrestling coach, and Rodriguez was kicked-off the team. 

Rodriguez was charged in Adams County Court with intentionally photographic or videotaping a person without consent. His bond was set at 10% of $10,000.
