Lois F. Vandegrift, age 86 of Beatrice passed away on October 21, 2025 at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on February 19, 1939 in Beatrice to Francis and Irene (Cookus) DeRyke. She was married to Ronald Vandegrift on December 4, 1957 in Fairbury. Alongside her husband, Lois was a volunteer for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as well as Girl Scouts and Little League. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and crafts.

Survivors include her children, Darcy Vandegrift of Lawrence, KS, Bryan Vandegrift of Lincoln, and Kenneth Vandegrift of Baldwin City, KS; grandchildren, Garrett Vandegrift, Adrienne Njoroge, Jason Njoroge, and Bryan Adam Vandegrift; great grandchildren, Ariana, Kaiden, and Roman. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ronald (September 25, 2024).

There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family with Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in charge.
