Robert James "Bob" Ossowski, age 84 of Wymore died on October 18, 2025 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. He was born on June 25, 1941 in Fairbury and spent his childhood in Blue Springs. He was a 1959 graduate of Wymore High School. On January 27, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marlene Wrightsman at the Church of the Brethren in Holmesville.

Bob worked for the O.A. Cooper Feed Company as a warehouse foreman and later as a feed salesman. He also worked for Barr Grain of Barneston, Mel's Feed Service and Henrichs Feed Service of Wymore. In January 1983, he went into business for himself as owner-operator of Bob's Service in Wymore - a filling station, mechanic shop, and feed business. He was forced to retire in 1989 due to bad health. He was a member of the Wymore Church of Christ where he was a deacon and past trustee. Bob enjoyed trapping and hunting. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His dry sense of humor and love of giving people grief will certainly be missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Sheri Yockel and husband Dan of Wymore; son, Steve and wife, Michelle of Roca; grandchildren, Rachel Skarka, Ben (Sheena) Yockel, Kyle (Paige) Yockel, Seth (Serenity) Ossowski, Travis Ossowski, and Ryleigh Ossowski (Ben Schoenbeck); 10 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Ossowski; sister-in-law, Sonja Wrightsman; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene (August 1, 2024); parents, Matthew and Velva (Zugmier) Ossowski; twin granddaughters, Leah and Madison Ossowski; daughter-in-law, Shirley Ossowski; sister, Donna (Melvin) Aden; brothers, Dick and Norman Ossowski; brothers-in-law, Don Wrightsman; sisters-in-law, Bev Ossowski and Norma Ossowski.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on October 24, 2025 at the Blue Springs Cemetery with Clayton Lundstedt officiating. Casual dress is requested. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A register book will be available for signature at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home on October 23rd from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wymore Church of Christ with the funeral home in charge.
