Ina G. Jurgens, 98, of Adams passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. She was born in Virginia on May 10, 1927, to Gerhard and Elizabeth (Waltke) Janssen. Ina was baptized on May 27, 1927, and confirmed at the American Lutheran Church in Filley on April 25, 1943. She married Johann “John T.” Jurgens on August 15, 1947, and they lived two miles east of Zion Lutheran Church until moving into Beatrice in 1974. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She worked at Kees Manufacturing in Beatrice for seven years and had been a part-time caregiver for the elderly for 20 years. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Jim)Young of Adams; son, Bruce (Connie) Jurgens of Adams; daughter-in-law, Dianne Jurgens of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Lee (Melanie) Jurgens, Justin (Eliana) Jurgens, Natalie (Nathan) Fredrickson, Nolan Jurgens, Tim Hanley, Jameson Young and Jonathan (Jessica) Young; nine great-grandchildren, Aidan, Kyan, Alex, Lily, Brett, Ella, Luke, Oliver, and Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerhard and Elizabeth (Waltke) Janssen; husband, Johann, who died on August 16, 1984; one son, Alan Jurgens; one grandson, Nathan Jurgens; and five brothers, one in infancy and Frank (Elsie), William (Katie), Henry (Arene) and Andrew (Dorothy) Janssen.

Memorial services will be at 11A.M. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Fox Funeral Home with Sharon Schuster officiating.
