Dogs To Take Over Waterpark

As the City of Beatrice prepares to close the Big Blue Waterpark for the season, one last event is planned before the swimming pool is drained. The annual Doggy Dip event sponsored by the Beatrice Humane Society will be held Tuesday evening, August 19th.
Director of the Beatrice Animal Shelter Carlee Fiddess says the annual fundraiser has become an event that dog owners look forward to each year.
As in past years, the evening will be divided into two sessions with the first session starting at 6pm.
Fiddess says “Much like previous years we are going to do two different sessions. The first session is going to be for the party pups…bring on the big dogs and bring on the fun. The second group will be our cautious group again…that’s our slow, our young, our old dogs that haven’t swam before. Any of our well behaved party pups can stay for the second session for an additional donation. But we do want to save that second session for that group that needs a little more encouragement to get in the water.”
The annual Doggy Dip will be held from 6pm to 8pm.
All proceeds from the event go towards the daily operations of the animal shelter.
