Greyson B. Willey

Greyson Bentley Willey came into this world on February 9, 2010, a happy, healthy, blessing to proud parents, Codie and Alysha Willey. From the earliest of times, he was smiling while marching to the beat of his own drum. Greyson started his school days at Paddock Lane Elementary but long before that, his curiosity and desire to learn was a passion for him. At an early age Greyson read a quote by Thomas Jefferson that says, “The variety of opinions leads to questions. Questions lead to truth,” and that led him to be always searching for answers to any and all questions. It didn’t matter how big or small, how silly or deep, he wanted to know it all. Greyson could find something worth exploring in almost every place he visited- on a hunting trip, a day at the park, or even just in the backyard. He could be found with mud on his shoes, the sun on his face, rain-soaked hair or just watching the clouds in awe. He found beauty in all things- nature, music, and taking care of everyone around him. He never found an animal he didn’t like and wasn’t ever shy to pick it up and carry it around. Greyson was a content, selfless, old soul that enjoyed cooking, making creations out of whatever he could find, and most importantly, spending time with his sister, Kynley. Growing up together made them the closest of friends and he took the role of being her big brother and protector to heart. He loved art, fishing, hunting, and spreading seeds about Jesus whenever he could. As Greyson grew older, attending Beatrice Middle School and then Beatrice High School, he never changed who he was at heart, loving what he loved and keeping true to himself. He found a place of belonging while playing Orangeman football, loving the sport and enjoying wrestling and weightlifting as well. Greyson’s family and friends will remember him for his compassionate, quiet, yet thoughtful nature and will always smile when thinking of his sense of humor, hilarious quirks and his nature to always want to help those around him.
Greyson will be cherished by parents, Codie and Alysha (Blazek) Willey; sister, Kynley Willey; great-grandma, Nancy Willey; grandparents, Wes and Julie Willey, Denise Blazek, and Harry Blazek; uncle, Adam (Hannah) Blazek; aunts, Ashley Baehr and Megan (Drue) Miller; cousins, Alexia, Makaiya, Noah, Eli, Wyatt, Nehemiah, Zane, Dominic, Amelia and Elliot; and many other extended loved ones. He is preceded in death by his beloved cousin, Isaiah Baehr.
While many hearts will never be the same without his special presence after June 6, 2025, he will be remembered as forever 15 and a beautiful soul that was truly a gift from above.
A celebration of Greyson’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church with Clayton Lundstedt officiating.
