Connie R. Mewes, 84, of Blue Springs, passed away Thursday night, June 5, 2025 at her home.  She was born on October 8, 1940 in Fairbury to Raymond and Goldie (Woods) Boyce. Connie graduated from Endicott High School.  On July 28, 1957 she married Glenn Mewes in Endicott.  They lived in Beatrice for many years and later moved to Blue Springs.  She enjoyed being a homemaker, but over the years worked at Alco, Econofoods, Hallmark, and the Dollar Shop.   

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Mewes of Blue Springs; son, Randy (Vesta) Mewes of Sterling; daughter, Ronda Mewes of Blue Springs; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bob Helget.  She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Raymond and Johnny; parents, Raymond E. Boyce and Goldie Boyce Kellie; step-father, Chet Kellie; brother, Raymond L. Boyce; sisters, Sharon Helget and Wanda Kellie-Just and her husband, Lawrence Just; parents-in-law, George and Hazel Mewes.

 Connie’s wishes were to use cremation with no service.  At a later date inurnment of the cremains will be at the Steele City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice.  www.foxfuneralhome.net   Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
