Lois B. Buhr, 91, of Beatrice, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Beatrice Community Hospital. She was born on March 14, 1934, at Adams and graduated from Panama High School in 1951.  On October 23, 1956, she married Arnold Buhr at the Pella Reformed Church of rural Adams. They farmed north of Filley before moving into Beatrice in 1996.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell.

Survivors include her sons, Keith (Kathy) Buhr of Beatrice and Arlan (Karen) Buhr of Omaha; daughters, Jeanette (Leon) Dorn of Firth, Carol (Eugene) Oltman of Cortland, and Nancy Buhr of Omaha; grandchildren, Nathan (Tonia) Dorn, Stephanie (Darryl) Kewin, Heather (Lee) Barr, Tara (Mike) Higgins, Preston (Kaity) Oltman, Amanda (Shad) Morgan, Tyler Buhr, Andrew (Hanna) Baehr, Nolan (Miranda) Baehr, Garret and Cameron (Crystal) Rasmussen; great-grandchildren, John, Edward, Brecken, and Kasey Dorn, Brooklyn, Logan, and Landon Barr, Zachary, Sadie, Jocelyn, Kyra and Elias Higgins, Anna, Autum, Adelynn, and Aiden Morgan, Luca and Ari Baehr, and Maya, Eden and Remi Baehr, Saylor and Cade Rasmussen; step-grandson, Ron (Danielle) Siwirski; step-great-grandchildren, Roman, Rylee, and Landon Siwirski; brother, Ray (Ginger) Boevink brother-in-law, Ervin Buhr; sisters-in-law, Genevieve Lenners and Erma (Larry) Schlake, Karen Buhr; nieces and nephews; exchange student who became family, Mariko (Atsushi) Yoshimi and their children, Yuhki, Wakana, and Haruka. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold (2024); great-grandchildren, Oliver Baehr, and twins Robert and Otis Kewin; daughters-in-law, Sherrie, Christine, and Kathy Buhr; parents, Garret and Lucy Boevink; brothers-in-law, Leonard Buhr, John Lieneman and Willard Lenners; sisters-in-laws, Patricia Boevink, Geraldine Buhr, Marie Buhr, Gladys (Robert) Revis, and Norma (Wilfred) DeVries, Marie (William) Schuster and Edna (Richard) Arntt; parents-in-law, Albert and Janna (Jurgens) Buhr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell with Pastor Nathan Metzger officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Pickrell. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Sunday, from noon until 8:00 P.M.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell with Dorothy Trauernicht and Lorene Wallman in charge.   www.foxfuneralhome.net   Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
