Wilbur W. Remmers

Wilbur W. Remmers, 73, of Beatrice, passed into the Lord’s arms on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Society. He was born on December 16, 1951, in Beatrice to Herman and Hilda (Schneider) Remmers. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Plymouth and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. He graduated from Beatrice High School and then helped his parents on their farm. He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice, Cub Scouts and AAL. Wilbur enjoyed being at the farm, playing solitaire and keeping up with his family and friends on Facebook.
Survivors include his sisters, Janet (Donald) Harms of Syracuse, Dorothy (Merlin) Folkers of Randolph; nieces and nephews, Nicole (Justin) McWilliams, Tiffany (Travis) Walters, Derek (McKenzie) Harms, Daryl Folkers (Sarah Carter), Brittany (Josh) Sievers; eleven great nieces and great nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Herman and Hilda (Schneider) Remmers; brother, Marvin Remmers.
The family would like to thank the Homestead House, Good Samaritan Society of Beatrice and Cottonwood Hospice for the care and support they provided for Wilbur.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Bentjen and Heidi Price officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home in Beatrice on Tuesday from noon until 8:00 P.M.
