Bruce A. Freese, 63 years of age, of Beatrice passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born on February 20, 1961 in Beatrice to Leon and Alida (Brandt) Freese. Bruce attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran School in Plymouth and graduated from the Martin Luther Academy in 1979. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin. Bruce married Sandra on March 25, 1995. He worked for MOSAIC for over 20 years and was an insurance agent with Western United Mutual Property & Casualty Insurance Company for many years. Bruce was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Beatrice where he was an usher for many years and on the church council. He loved to farm, hunt and go fishing. Bruce was a lifelong Husker and Chiefs fan and enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Bruce is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughters, Kristina Zeilinger and fiancé Joe Anderson of Beatrice, Elizabeth Fandl and husband Justin of Lincoln; Cassandra Freese of Mooresville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Charlee, Layla, Nora, Zoey and Maddox; very close niece, Jenn Lesko and husband Jon of Westfield, Indiana; siblings, Mark Freese and wife Marlys of Lincoln, Julie Nelson and husband Mark of Lincoln, Neal Freese and wife Linda of Plymouth; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth with Pastor Justin Dauck officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery west of Plymouth. There will be a family prayer service at 10:00 AM Tuesday in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice on Monday, January 13, 2025 from noon to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 5 to 7 PM.
