Huskers knock off No. 15 UCLA 66-58, stay unbeaten at PBA
LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska's domination at Pinnacle Bank Arena continues, after knocking off No. 15 UCLA 66-58.
Nebraska and UCLA traded blows early, with both teams putting together 15-0 runs in the first half. The Huskers struggled shooting the ball early, and would end the game 32.7% from the field. However, Nebraska made up for it defensively forcing the Bruins into 15 turnovers, well beyond their season average.
Nebraska got big minutes off the bench from Sam Hoiberg who scored seven points, including just his fourth made triple of the season.
Nebraska was led in scoring by Brice Williams with 16, as he went 11-12 at the free throw line. Rollie Worster also eclipsed 1,000 career points with a three pointer in the first half.
With the win, Nebraska remains unbeaten at home and improves to 12-2 (2-1) on the year. The Huskers visit Iowa on Tuesday.
