Strong second-half defense lifts Pierce to win over Lutheran High Northeast
PIERCE - It was a tale of two halves defensively for the Pierce boys basketball team.
The Blue Jays held Lutheran High Northeast to just 12 points in the second half, coming from behind for a 50-42 win on Friday.
Pierce's defense held the Eagles to just 26 percent shooting after the halftime break, and out-rebounded the taller LHNE squad over the final two quarters as well.
