OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Steven Ashworth had 18 points and Creighton held off St. John's 57-56 on Tuesday, ending the Red Storm's six-game win streak.

Ashworth also contributed five rebounds and three steals for the Bluejays (9-5, 2-1 Big East Conference). Ryan Kalkbrenner added 16 points, nine rebounds and five blocks. Isaac Traudt scored nine on three 3-pointers.

The Red Storm (11-3, 2-1) were led by Zuby Ejiofor with 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Deivon Smith added 10 points and four steals. Kadary Richmond totaled nine points, six rebounds and three steals. The loss snapped a six-game win streak for the Red Storm.

Ashworth scored nine points in the first half and Creighton went into halftime trailing 28-26. Kalkbrenner led the way with 10 second-half points.

Rishwain's 16 help UNLV defeat Air Force 77-58

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Julian Rishwain had 16 points in UNLV's 77-58 win against Air Force on Tuesday night.

Rishwain also added three steals for the Rebels (8-5, 2-0 Mountain West Conference). Jaden Henley scored 14 points, going 6 of 10 and 1 of 3 from the free-throw line. Jeremiah Cherry shot 5 of 5 from the field and 3 of 5 from the free-throw line to finish with 13 points.

Ethan Taylor led the way for the Falcons (3-10, 0-2) with 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Kyle Marshall added 11 points.

UNLV led Air Force 38-26 at the half, with Jailen Bedford (10 points) its high scorer before the break. Henley scored a team-high 12 points after halftime.

Nique Clifford propels Colorado State to 72-50 victory over San Jose State

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Nique Clifford totaled 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Colorado State to a 72-50 victory over San Jose State on Tuesday.

Rashaan Mbemba had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Rams (8-6, 2-1 Mountain West Conference). Jalen Lake hit two 3-pointers and scored 12.

Will McClendon led the way for the Spartans (7-8, 0-3) with 15 points. Sadraque NgaNga added eight points and Latrell Davis had six points and six rebounds.

Clifford had eight points in the first half to help put the Rams up 33-15 at the break.
