For the rest of this month, the city of Fairbury is conducting a survey to evaluate to quality of roads, sidewalks and trails throughout the area.

There are certainly plenty of different kinds of roads in this small southeast Nebraska city, from commonplace paved roads to the cobblestone streets that are integral aspects of many different places across the state. And the quality of those roads varies widely depending on where in the city you're driving, or walking.

The city says this survey will help personnel plan and prioritize capital improvement projects and pursue grant funding, such as Community Development Block Grants, to help address infrastructure needs.

The survey will run until January First.

The following is a reprint of the full message sent out to citizens at the start of the month, including links to complete the survey.
