HASTINGS, Neb. - The Aurora girls basketball team scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter and took down Adams Central 36-31 in the season opener Thursday night.

The victory ended a streak of eight straight losses for Aurora against the Patriots.

The Huskies' upset bid didn't look good early in the game. Aurora committed 14 turnovers in the first quarter and trailed 9-4. They cut down on the turnovers the rest of the game and trimmed their deficit to 21-17 entering the fourth quarter. That's when the Huskies found their offense. They outscored the Patriots 21-10 in the final eight minutes to pull ahead and secure the win.
