Carol Ann Scott, passed away at the Beatrice Community Hospital on November 15, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on July 12, 1941, in Blue Springs, Nebraska, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who found great joy in her family and the towns that she called home. Her generous spirit and supportive nature were evident in all aspects of her life, from her career to her hobbies and her relationships.

 Carol's life was marked by a steadfast dedication to her community and the people around her. On June 3, 1962, she married Clayton Scott in Wymore, Nebraska. Together, they built a life centered around family, community, and service. She was deeply committed to her work as a bank loan officer at First National Bank & Trust, now know as Security First Bank in Beatrice, where she served until her retirement in 2004. Even in retirement, she remained active, pouring her time into hobbies such as reading, needlework, and volunteering, always with a beloved dog at her side. Her love for her family and her community was a beacon that guided her throughout her life. Carol touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness and generosity.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Clayton; her children Kelle (Robert Munchrath) Scott, and Jeff (Bonnie) Scott; her granddaughter Taylor (Jon) Hintsala, and great-granddaughter Carlee Hintsala. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lola (Buck) Baker.

Public visitation for Carol will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 3:00-8:00 PM at Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, 708 North 6th Street, Beatrice, Nebraska, with the family greeting friends from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church, 205 North 7th Street, Beatrice, Nebraska, with a family prayer service starting at 10:45 AM. The service will be Livestreamed by the church on their facebook page. Burial will be at the Wymore Cemetery, Wymore, NE following a lunch served at the church. A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church with the funeral home in charge.
