Lynn Reiff, 81, of Beatrice passed away on November 10, 2024, at the Beatrice Community Hospital. He was born on March 3, 1943, to Lester and Anita (Baker) Reiff. He lived in Omaha in his younger years and attended Central High School in Omaha where he was very active in the ROTC. He graduated from UNO-Omaha with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. On June 24, 1967, Lynn married Lynnette (Lonie) Landen.  He then moved to Beatrice to work with his father where they operated several Phillips 66 Stations. Later he owned Gage County Oil Company Inc. and a self-storage business with the help of his son, Shawn. He was very proud of his service in the United States Army Reserves. He was baptized at Holy Cross Church and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. He was active in Jaycees, Sertoma, the Chamber of Commerce and the Elks Club.  Lynn was never one to sit still, he enjoyed boating, golfing and building houses, which he enjoyed doing most of the inside work himself. He was a family man and loved spending time with his son, two grandsons, Grant and Hunter, and many long-time close friends that he considers family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lonie; son, Shawn (Christy) Reiff of Lincoln; grandsons, Grant and Hunter of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Terry (Susan) Landen of Lincoln. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Anita Reiff; parents-in-law, Bob and Dorothy Landen.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Rev. Dr. Renae Koehler officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Wednesday at the church.  Inurnment of the cremains will be held in Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing.  A book for signatures will be available on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from noon until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
