June P. Vitosh
June P. Vitosh, 92, of Odell, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Beatrice Community Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1932, at Diller and graduated from Diller High School in 1949. She married Milton Vitosh on July 27, 1950. They lived and operated a farm north of Odell for 70 plus years where they owned and operated a Grade A Dairy for 28 years. She also worked at Claybee’s Fabric Store and was a waitress at the Tiger’s Den. June was a member of the Odell United Methodist Church since 1958. She also served on the Election Board for 50 years and was an Odell Cookies 4-H club leader. June enjoyed piano, reading, sewing, baking, and following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include her son, Darrell (Barbara) Vitosh of Odell; daughters, Sheryl (Alan) Adam of Hanover, KS, and Linda (David) Koch of Beatrice; eight grandchildren, Toni (Brett) Landenberger, Todd (Holly) Adam, Jason (Stacey) Vitosh, Kate (Brandon) Vossler, Jared (Jenna) Vitosh, Nicholas (Rachelle) Koch, Nathan Koch and special friend Ericka Machacek, Michelle (Matt) Luettel; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Sandra Vitosh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hilda Glathar Thompson; husband, Milton (2021); brothers, Max (Rosie) Thompson, Lynn (Bea) Thompson and Lee (Kathy) Thompson; sisters, Betty (Herman) Sitton, Bonnie (Elmer) Meyer and Wilma (Maynard) Lange; parents-in-law, Charles and Mary Vitosh; brothers-in-law, Harold (Phyllis) Vitosh and Charles Vitosh; sisters-in-law, Agnes (Stanley) Bednar, Adeline (Ernest) Cacek, Alma (Harold) Essman, and Elaine (George) Henzel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Odell United Methodist Church of Odell with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. A private family prayer service will be held at 9:45 A.M. on Saturday. Burial will be at the Odell Czech Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.
