BEATRICE, NEB. - It may not be the most usual way to win a softball game, but Beatrice will no doubt take it - The Lady Orange cashed in on a walk-off walk of Brooklyn Carlson in the bottom of the seventh to beat Bennington 6-5 on Tuesday night. 

Beatrice jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Callie Schwisow doubled in two runs, hitting 20 total RBI's on the season. Bennington plated two runs in the third to tie the ball game 2-2, but Beatrice responded with a two run single by Genna Dawson.

In the fourth, the Badgers cashed in on two walks by Layla Boyko, plating three runs for their only lead of the nigh at 5-4, but Beatrice would answer again when Brooke Gleason hit her sixth home run of the season. 

Bennington left the bases loaded to end the top of the seventh and it was Brooklyn Carlson who took ball four outside for the winning run as Beatrice improves to 22-4 on the year. 

The win in the circle went to Jada Berke who entered in relief in the seventh, but Layla Boyko carried the load for the Lady O going 6.2 innings, allowing five runs with 11 strikeouts. 

Beatrice wraps up the regular season on Thursday, hosting Plattsmouth.
