PLAINVIEW - Karter Lingenfelter, have a day!  The backup Pirate QB came off the bench for injured starter Gage Walton and proceeded to throw for a TD, rush for two more, and catch a scoring pass in a 34-14 Plainview romp over Wisner-Pilger Friday night.

The Gators started off hot as QB Jaxon Knoell scampered 42 yards for a score to stake Wisner-Pilger to an early 8-0 lead. Knoell would finish with two rushing scores on the night.

But from there, it was all Plainview. Lingenfelter hit Rece Frahm on a 45-yard TD bomb, then added a 42-yard scoring run to put the Pirates in front 14-8. Then RB Jacson King faked everyone out and tossed to a wide-open Lingenfelter from the 1 as time expired in the 2nd, sending the teams to the locker room with Plainview on top 21-8.

Another TD run each from King and Lingenfelter capped off the night in a 34-14 Pirate win. Plainview (2-0) heads to Crofton next Friday while Wisner-Pilger (1-1) is at David City.
