Wymore woman arrested after giving birth in drug-filled house

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Wymore woman was arrested on Monday after giving birth to a baby in a drug-filled house.
Investigators from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christina Devor, 34, on two felony charges following an investigation.
Deputies were originally dispatched to a house in Wymore on June 25 to assist medics with a newborn baby born at the residence.
According to the sheriff’s office, Devor had given birth prematurely and had been using methamphetamine and marijuana during the pregnancy.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for the house and found a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, high-concentrate THC wax, several other baggies with white residue, and various items of drug paraphernalia.
The newborn infant was hospitalized for about three weeks following the birth and was placed in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Devor was arrested on charges of felony child abuse, exposing a child to methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
