Dave W. Holland, 56, of Filley passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was born on December 15, 1967, in Beatrice to Cecil and Deanna (Nickels) Holland. He grew up in the rural Filley area and graduated from Filley High School in 1986.  He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1991 and then went on to farm with his father before going to work at Exmark Manufacturing as their Grounds Maintenance Coordinator for 28 years. Dave married Karla Robinson on September 12, 1992, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pickrell. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pickrell where he served on the church council, praise team and performed as part of the soup supper entertainment. He enjoyed watching his girl’s activities and sports, being with his family and friends, Kansas City Chiefs, Nebraska Cornhuskers, traveling, music, hunting and being outdoors.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Karla of Filley; daughters, Alexis of Lincoln, Macy of Lincoln, and Faith of Filley; parents, Cecil and Deanna Holland of Filley; brother, Steve (Alexandra) Holland of Weaverville, NC; mother-in-law, Marilyn Robinson of Filley; brothers-in-law, Terry (Susan) Robinson of Lincoln, Wayne (Gayle) Robinson of Filley, Dale (Julie) Robinson of Ong, Greg (Lori) Robinson of Filley, Jeff (Renee) Robinson of Linwood; sister-in-law, Barb (Kevin) Chelewski of Sutton; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Florence (Carson) Holland, William and Hazel (Witkowski) Nickels; and father-in-law, Kenneth Robinson.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pickrell with Pastor Jerry Gilbreath officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Pickrell. The body will lie in state on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. all at the funeral home.
