With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Norline Marie Cornett, born on July 17, 1922 in Barneston, Nebraska. Norline departed this life on July 11, 2024. She was married to Harold Cornett. She had a fulfilling career as a secretary, most notably within the University of California Riverside and NRD. Norline also served as a Paraeducator for Southern Public Schools. Norline lived in Omaha with her son, Robert, until his passing in June. In her leisure time, she was an avid reader and loved to sew, adding a touch of warmth and love to every stitch.

Norline is survived by her children, Jeanne Martin and Gary Cornett; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Julius and Mary (Hellmer) Stroemer; her loving husband, Harold Cornett; her devoted son, Robert Cornett; her cherished grandsons, Chris Sedlacek and Ian Cornett; her twin sister, Arline Acton; her brother, DeLoss Stroemer; and her sisters, Geneva Hanners, Opal Tucker, and Nedra Hahn. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Al Martin, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cornett.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2022 at Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Norline's 102nd birthday, Wednesday, July 17th, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Society of Beatrice who provided excellent and loving care to Norline.
