Duane L.  “Dewey” Winslow, 64, of Beatrice passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln. He was born on November 9, 1959, in Beatrice to Bruce M. and Arlene (Saathoff) Winslow Jr.  Duane was baptized on November 22, 1959, and confirmed on April 7, 1974, both at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1978 and worked for Campbell’s Soup in Tecumseh, Neapco and Worldlawn both of Beatrice. He loved working in his garage, dirt track racing, watching wrestling, NASCAR, Husker football, animals and attending auctions.

He is survived by his sisters, Karen (Tom) Post of Lincoln and Deb (Rod) Rehm of Beatrice; nephews and niece, Jon Post, Brendon Post, Andy (Elaine) Rehm, and Amy (Doug) Walker; many more special aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Winslow, Jr.; mother, Arlene Saathoff Winslow Rhoads; stepfather, Frank Rhoads; grandparents, Bruce (Edna) Winslow, Sr, Ralph Saathoff, and Ralph and Minnie Huls; companion dog, Kylie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Pastor David Bigley officiating. Casual dress is preferred.  Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. The body will lie in state on Sunday from noon until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
