BEATRICE, NEB. - It’s been one whole year, since a southeast Nebraska bowling alley was brought back to life.

10 Pinz Fun Center in Beatrice is in full gear, 365 days later.

“There’s really nothing to do out east of town for the people… That’s why we want to keep this up.”

Chris Bell and his wife Heidi are the new owners of 10 Pinz. In the past year, they’ve made numerous changes and have tried to give the bowling alley a fun vibe feel, but going through the changes hasn’t always been a 10 pin strike.

“I remember when we had to grab a credit card to make sure the bills were getting paid,” Bell said. “Now, the bills are getting paid and the moneys starting to come back.”

A major part of the changes for 10 Pinz was opening their 19 and older room, which features skill games, pool tables, darts, and keno.

“The kids can bowl, the parents can go over into the 19 and older room and have their own little date night,” Bell said.

The gaol of 10 Pinz has been the same for the Bell family - provide a fun, welcoming location on the east side of Beatrice.

“It’s awesome to see the kids cheering and dancing on the approach and on the tables,” Heidi Bell said.

Moving forward, the Bell’s say their next big project is to pain the outside of the building.
