It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Johnna Eppens. Johnna left us on June 27, 2024, at the age of 46, after a long and difficult battle with cancer. Johnna passed away at her home in Beatrice surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was a woman of immense humor and love, cherishing every moment she spent with her family. Her unwavering spirit will forever be.

 Johnna was born on July 13, 1977 in Beatrice. She was a 1995 graduate of Tri-County public schools. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and music. But the most important thing for Johnna was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother Julie Hautzenroder; Shawn Eppens; children Kyra Gerdes, Tessa Gerdes, Tayha Eppens, Draven Pearson, and Justyn Eppens; 2 granddaughter Kinsley Kurtzer and Felicity Gomez; siblings Nakia Howe, Nathan (Shawna) Hautzenroder, Andy Pearson, Blaize Pearson, and Kalob Pearson; aunt Janis (Pete) DiBerardinis; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Johnna was preceded in death by her father John Pearson; step father Robert Hautzenroder; grandparents Kenneth & Belva Hyman and Roger & Nora Pearson; uncles David McMillan, Steve Pearson, and Kenneth Hyman; nephew Tristen McClaughlin; and brother in law Darren Howe.

Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. The service will be Livestreamed at www.ghchapel.com. Her body will lie in state from 8:30-10:30 AM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials for the family with the funeral home in charge. Burial at Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice.
