Clara L. Vrtiska, 78 years of age, of Wymore, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Clara was born in Leavenworth, KS on November 21, 1945 to Charles and Mildred Gilliland, and grew up in Brownville, NE with 9 brothers and 4 sisters. Later in life she had 4 children, while raising her 4 children she worked many years at Campbell Soup in Tecumseh, at which time she met her husband Marvin of 47 years, and they continued to raise her family. Clara loved her family very much. She like canning their homegrown vegetables, and sharing them to her friends and family. She also enjoyed baking huge trays of cinnamon rolls, and leading songs at her church where she was a member of the seventh Day Adventist Church in Beatrice.

Clara is survived by husband Marvin; daughters Sue (Rob) Davis of Wymore, Lisa Suggett of Beatrice, Linda (Robert) McMann of Kansas; son Robert (Sherri) Fisher of Falls City; sisters Carol (Tom) Brannon of New Mexico, Linda (Adkins) Seydlity of Wymore; sister in law Arlene (Sam) Craig of Minnesota; grandchildren Cory Davis, Justin Garman, Melisa Reed, Bobbi (Kyle) Montford, Brandon & Cole McMann, Robert (Michelle) McMann, Jessica (Logan) Auffort, Jacie (Ben) Fisher, Robert (Wendy) Fisher; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 9 brothers & 2 sisters; and numerous brother and sister in laws.

Her body will lie in state on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the funeral home starting at 10:30 AM and will be livestreamed on the funeral home web site www.ghchapel.com. Interment will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery with a luncheon following the burial and the Wymore American Legion. A memorial has been established to the families choice for future designation With the funeral home in charge.
