FAIRBURY, Neb. -- The Fairbury Farmers Market kicked off its summer months with a good turnout Saturday.

From baked goods to bracelets, there was a wide variety of products to be purchased at the market.

Organizers of the Farmers Market said construction will not begin on the corner of 4th and D Street until the fall.

The goal is to create a canopy to have the market in one location and to stop the rain from making the ground muddy.

Fairbury’s Farmers Market is every Saturday from May to September, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from the corner of 4th and D Street.

Other Farmers Market area locations include Wilber, Crete, Washington, Kansas and Hebron.
