Florence Minnie Bluhm, 104 years of age, of Beatrice was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Homestead House in Beatrice. She was born on March 14, 1920, to George & Minnie (Friedrichs) Koeneke. Florence was baptized on March 21, 1920, and later confirmed on March 25, 1934, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bremen, Kansas. She married Gilbert Bluhm on February 20, 1944. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage. Gilbert passed away on November 25, 2009.

During most of her married life, Florence assisted her husband, Gilbert, with the family farm and dairy operation. In 1998, they moved to Beatrice. Florence was involved in Bethlehem Lutheran congregation, and served her Lord faithfully through the years by her involvement in many church organizations such as: The LWML Dorcas Society, Ladies Aid, and Braille.

Florence was a blessing…The strength of her faith and the kindness of her actions have inspired others in so many ways. She has laughed with us, listened to us, shared her talents with us, and we have seen God at work in her life. She had a great talent for gardening, baking, sewing, and quilting.

Florence is survived by three children and their spouses, Carol and Ken Holste of Kalispell, Montana; Don and Adele Bluhm of Wausau, Wisconsin; and Janice and Gayle Seymour of Akron, Ohio; seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Other survivors include many other relatives and good friends.

The Family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and aides of Cottonwood Hospice for their compassion and care offered to Florence, as well as the staff of Homestead House.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bremen, Kansas, with Pastor Aaron Fenker officiating.
