JEFFERSON COUNTY, Neb. -- Wrestlers are always happy to pin their opponent but this season had a little more on the line than just the points won.

For the 2023-24 season, each pin added up to donations to the wrestling programs at Fairbury High School, Tri County High School and Meridian High School by Jefferson Community Health and Life.

JCH&L donated $1 per pin to each of these schools which serve Jefferson County students and have a wrestling program.

JCH&L donated $185 to the Fairbury boys wrestling program and $139 to the girls wrestling program. They donated $172 to the Meridian boys wrestling program and $15 to the girls wrestling program. The Tri County boys wrestling program received $172.

Jefferson Community Health and Life said it supports all of the area wrestlers on their hard work and dedication, and is excited to see the final tally of pins at the end of each season.
