Roger Raymond Wusk, 86, of Adams, formerly of Sterling, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his residence in Adams. He was born on May 25, 1937, in Kansas City, MO and adopted by Otto and Hulda (Holscher) Wusk at the Kansas City Cradle. Roger graduated from Sterling High School in 1955 and attended Midland College. He married Twila J. Heusman on February 18, 1959, in Tecumseh. Roger spent many years working on his farm where he resided for 85 years. He was a board member for the Coop Elevator in St. Mary, Sterling School, South St. John Church, and Cemetery Council. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and camping. Roger was known as a car enthusiast by many. He tried to live by Luke 6:31 (KJV) “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”

Survivors include his wife, Twila Wusk of Adams; daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Burrows; son, Rodney (Denise) Wusk; grandchildren, BJ (Kristy) Burrows, Andy (Jordan) Burrows, Amanda (Jake) Hadan, and Marissa (Christian) Vinsky; great-grandchildren, Caitlynne, Bray, Stella, Averi, Rutledge, Gentry, and Emersyn; sister-in law, Sylvia (Al) Remmenga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Hulda Wusk; parents-in law, Rudolph and Tressa Heusman; step-brother, Donald Wusk.


Private graveside services and inurnment of the cremains will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Highland Cemetery of Adams with Pastor Angie Vertz officiating.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing or visitation.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family for future designation.  Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Adams.
